2013 My Favorite Work :)

Hello Lovelies here is a a bit of a blog about my 3 favorite works of 2013 

Beauty

This look was very much created with the inspiration of Vogue. At this time I was constantly researching Vogue front covers and this was the makeup look I created. This is still one of my most favorite looks.

This look was all created around the head piece. I hand made the head piece an knew I wanted to use it with no idea of what makeup I was going to produce. I built some green glitter eyelashes and then created the makeup. The whole thing just totally gelled together and the beautiful Merwitch was born :)

X was by far my most favorite shoot of 2013. I turned up to Dark Lens Studios for a social visit and then we decided to do a shoot. So after tea, crumpets and lots of discussion we decided to go for a half face paint splatter look. We were all really pleased with the way the shoot turned out. So much so that Daz Dark Lens has the image on canvas in the hall way of Dark Lens studios :)

Hello :)

Hello and welcome to my blog :) as this is my first post I thought I would tell you a bit about myself.

 After studying Hairdressing, Performing Arts, Acting and Stagecraft (Yes I love to learn) my passion for hair and makeup started to become an obsession. Working with stage makeup and building characters for individual performances was an amazing experience and was always a joy to see the idea unfold. This passion continued to grow and I started to look into different aspects of makeup and trying them out where I could.

 With a keen interest in the beauty sector I decided  to continue with my study and found Beauty Therapy. Part of this course was Bridal, Special Occasion and Fashion Makeup which fueled my makeup desire further.

During my studies my friend Daz asked me to do some client make overs,
 fashion collaboration shoots and beauty and editorial work for model portfolios at his Dark Lens Studios in Wolverhampton, where I later became the house MUA (and still am) :) This was my breakthrough into the fashion photography industry and I have not looked back since. 

 Alongside this I have the oportunity to work with many other photographers across the country doing many different styles of shoots. And also working backstage at the Clothes Show Live 2013 where I experienced a totally different aspect of the makeup/fashion industry.

 I now  run 2 businesses, Hiddenlight Beauty and Holistics where I offer a wide range of beauty and spa treatments. And Makeup Services by Dee Hiddenlight where offer a range of different makeup services such as weddings, special occasions, studio work, fashion, theatrical, SFX and much much more. By late 2014/early2015 I will be offering make up classes so watch this space for more details.
